LAX Taxiway P

The Taxiway P Project consists of the construction of a new 3,600 FT crossfield taxiway. It will be built through an area currently occupied by hangars, aprons, service roadways, and a tunnel. This project is being built in 13 phases, many of which are being constructed simultaneously requiring extensive logistical and labor management coordination with all stakeholders to manage overlapping work.

In order to make room for the new taxiway, Aldridge’s scope of work includes the removal of electrical equipment and services in existing buildings, aircraft aprons, high mast lighting, and fiber optics. Aldridge is also responsible for airfield lighting as well as ductbank and structures. This includes extensive modifications to the existing airfield lighting circuitry and re-routing public works power ductbank feeders.

Known for their innovative solutions, Aldridge custom-built a coring machine to install new airfield taxiway edge and centerline lights.
