CTA GREEN LINE LAKE AND SOUTH MAIN

The Green Line Lake and South Main design-build project redesigned and reconstructed the running rail curves and ties to provide a smoother transition as the train follows the curves. Aldridge was responsible for oversight of all systems construction for the project including signals, traction power, and electrical work. Scope of work included replacing approximately 24,000 ft. of ties along 4.5 miles of this elevated structure. Replacing these worn ties the overall commuter experience is improved by reducing the amount of maintenance required, eliminating slow zones, and extending the overall life of the infrastructure.
